This Government had already
incurred a travel bill of Rs. 317 crores for the first 9 months which is 58
crores more than UPA government’s expenses for 2013-14. For the year 2015-16,
they made a provision of Rs. 269 crores!!! Also, many promises of grants
and development projects were made to Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Myanmar, Nepal
and Bhutan and still remaining unfulfilled. PM’s speech at Madison Square
Garden was portrayed as one of the biggest event in Indian history by the
Medias. But no one talks about the amounts spent for setting up such an event
and the fact that the US trip ended up by not signing even one MoU between the
countries.
Modi’s latest offer of $ 1 Billion (Rs.
6,400 crores) to Mongolia as well as setting up of an English Medium school and
an IT centre in that Country had forced me to ask the following questions.
1. Is India such a wealthy nation to offer this much amount?
2. India is basically agricultural oriented nation and suicides of
farmers are remaining only as a tool for politicians to get their votes. In
such a situation, Rs. 6,400 crores can do a lot for the farmers. Then why our
PM chooses Mongolia instead of our Country? Or will it remain as an unfulfilled
offer?
3. During a span of 1 year he has visited 18 countries and spent 55
days there. Did India benefits from those visits?
However, the Prime Minister's Office has refused to give information
on the expenses incurred on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent visit to
Singapore.
There is sharp rises in
Petroleum and oil prices too in our country. The earlier Government and this
Government almost looks like same as far as their policies are concerned!!!

ReplyDeleteagriculture oriented?? May be a major chunk of population relies on agriculture for living. That doesnt mean India is agriculture oriented.
ReplyDeleteAlmost 70% of our population depends on agriculture. One third of our National Income is from Agriculture. Hence, our economy is based on Agriculture. It employs 52% of total workforce. India is principally an agricultural country.
